Sports betting and iGaming operator BetMGM has announced the relocation of its sportsbook from Great American Ballpark to a new venue at The Banks in downtown Cincinnati.

Located at the corner of Second Street and Joe Nuxhall Way, in an area previously occupied by Galla Park, the new sportsbook will feature several betting windows, self-service kiosks, and televisions showing live sports action.

The new BetMGM venue will also host the city's fourth Nation Kitchen & Bar, a full-service restaurant that will cater to all visitors irrespective of their ages. However, the sportsbook area will only be available to patrons that are 21 years old and older.

Additionally, the venue will be open throughout the year, unlike at Great American Ballpark, where it was only accessible on game days.

We are thrilled to expand BetMGM's offering in Ohio. The Reds and Nation Kitchen & Bar are great partners, and together we're building a premier entertainment venue that we can't wait to see filled with fans.

BetMGM's current sportsbook at Great American Ball Park was opened via the operator's multi-year sports betting partnership deal with the Cincinnati Reds last October. However, the retail sportsbook didn't get much patronage from Ohio bettors.

In April, the establishment only managed to get $99,000 in wagers, ranking it 12th out of the 13 retail sportsbooks in Ohio, surpassing only the Superbook retail facility at Taft's Ale House.

With its year-round availability and accessibility outside the ballpark, BetMGM is optimistic that the new venue will attract a larger audience than the in-stadium sportsbook.

The operator is also counting on its partnership with Nation. Having had successful launches in several locations like Pendleton, Westwood, and Milford, BetMGM aims the restaurant will replicate its success in its new area. The restaurant's main appeal is its award-winning bunch offering with its burger at the heart of the menu.

Our hospitality team is honored to bring our award-winning burgers and dining experience to The Banks this fall with BetMGM. We look forward to hosting fans of sport and food alike in the city's premier sports viewing environment at the footstep of Great American Ball Park. As with all our locations: All 'Nations' are welcome, except Carrie!

BetMGM has also confirmed that its retail sportsbook at Great American Ball Park will remain open throughout Fall 2023.
