BetMGM, the sports betting operator, has partnered with Chris Rock, the US comedian and actor, to feature in the marketing campaign as the gambling operator launches in the United Kingdom (UK).

BetMGM, the collaboration between MGM Resorts International and Entain, is looking for global expansion in gaming markets and started this growth when it entered the UK market in August this year.

Chris Rock features across a range of media advertisements, including television, billboards, and social media platforms. The first television advert sees Rock in a speedboat towing the BetMGM logo and Bellagio Fountains to a London destination.

Rock is the latest in a long line of A-list actors and comedians that US Sportsbook and gaming oper-ators have partnered with to front the operators’ marketing promotions, including Kevin Hart at DraftKings.

Advertising Campaign Includes Responsible Gaming

The marketing campaign for BetMGM also carries a segment that relates to the promotion of responsible gambling and the options that are available to all customers who play at the sportsbook.

This section has been made mandatory by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), which lets customers know it is adults only displaying the 18+ signage. Plus, there is a reference to the BeGambleAware.org safer gambling program.

The BetMGM advertisements make players at the sportsbook aware of the range of tools that are incorporated into its responsible gaming policy that is designed to ensure the care of all of its customers.

BetMGM UK Launch Promotion

To coincide with the BetMGM launch in the UK sports market, the operator is running a promotion based on predicting scores in English Premier League matches. Each week, customers can pick scores in six games.

If a customer gets all six results correct, they will win £2 million. If no one customer gets all six games correct a consolation prize of £2,000 will be split between customers who predict the most correct scores.

The competition is free to enter for all players who are registered with BetMGM in the UK.
