Registered as a charity in the UK, BetBlocker is expanding globally and offers free software for players at risk of gambling harm to register and block access to more than 90,000 gambling websites and 1,500 gambling apps. It is compatible with most platforms and is flexible for users. This is seen as a useful tool for gaming operators and other industry stakeholders to promote as a useful responsible gambling tool.

It is estimated that the launch of the new French language version targets over 300 million French speakers located worldwide including in France, Canada, and Africa. There are believed to be more than 30 million gamblers in France itself and players in the country can now directly access this useful support tool.

BetBlocker says it is now available in twenty languages and this latest launch meets the organization's target to reach as many gamblers worldwide as possible and to have the preference to engage in their choice of language.

Significant Increase in the Reach of BetBlocker

Senior leadership at BetBlocker boasts its software is enjoying a period of growth globally and reaches more players who may be vulnerable to gambling-related harm. Earlier this year BetBlocker launched its gambling harm support platform in North America.

Additionally the charity stated this move would have an impact on some markets in Africa and would increase the range of responsible gaming tools that are available to players in some of these regions. BetBlocker highlighted that many gambling markets on the African continent are underrepresented in terms of support and tools available to players who may need to take a break from gambling.

I’m really pleased to open up BetBlocker to French speaking communities. With the recent launch of the US arm of our charity, raising our profile in North America is a strategic priority. This launch helps us support our French Canadian friends. […] I want to personally thank Xavi D. and Christina Theophilos for their tireless work supporting us to deliver this translation. BetBlocker could not have done this without them.
