Bacta Promotes Simon Bradbury to Head of SR and Compliance
Bacta, the trade body representing the land-based gambling industry, has announced the appointment of Simon Bradbury to Head of SR and Compliance, bolstering its commitment to social responsibility and player protection.

This is a promotion for Bradbury in an expanded role that means he will continue to support the Bacta Membership Support Officers (MSOs). He started this position at the beginning of the month and in this role, he will report to Executive Director (Commercial) Robert Gibb.
Bradbury’s new role has been expanded and he will also be expected to oversee social responsibility programs and compliance issues. As well as constantly monitoring the business objectives in these areas Bradbury is tasked with reviewing all processes and making improvements to business procedures and guidelines where necessary.
Brad will now manage the rest of the MSO team and be responsible for our Social Responsibility and Compliance initiatives. Working alongside myself he will deliver these key services to members and ensure that they remain best in class courtesy of a programme of continual review and enhancement. Brad has extensive experience and knowledge in delivering our frontline services as well as a real passion for social responsibility and assisting members to understand and uphold their compliance requirements and responsibilities in what is a heavily regulated sector.

Bacta a Keen Supporter of Safe Gambling Practices
Senior leadership at Bacta boasts the trade body is a long standing champion of Safer Gambling Practices and a promoter of Responsible Gambling in the gaming industry. It is responsible for helping with the creation of SR Exchange, a training program for venue staff.
Additionally, Bacta plays a key role in Safer Gambling Week each year where all stakeholders in the gaming industry come together to promote the help and support that is available for players who may be at risk from gambling-related harm.
They see this appointment as demonstrating the business's commitment to safer gambling and ensuring player protection is at the forefront of the regulated gambling industry in the UK.
Bacta has been one of the main stakeholders in the gambling industry helping the government to shape its changes for land-based casinos as part of the long-running gambling reform White Paper.
