The support comes in the form of a donation and helps the UK-based charity BetBlocker to provide the free BetBlocker app for vulnerable gamblers. The app is free for users to download and can be used by any gambler who wishes to stop or limit their gambling, with the software able to block more than a thousand websites and give players the ability to remove themselves from a gambling environment.

The BetBlocker app is available across a range of operating platforms including iOS, Android, and Windows, with additional features such as scheduled access restrictions or continuous blocking of gambling software.

I and the BetBlocker team are very grateful to Aristocrat for the support they’ve offered. That support ensures that we can continue to support the tens of thousands of people who use BetBlocker every day to help them manage their access to gambling responsibly and minimise gambling harms.

Gaming Industry Promotes Responsible Gambling

iGB L!VE 2024, held in July this year, promoted six organizations that had presentations to highlight the tools and actions that can be taken by gaming operators to ensure a safe environment for their customers. BetBlocker was one of the organizations featured at the awards and included Yaspa, Department of Trust, GamCare, AGOG, and Safer Gambling Training, which were featured in a Sustainable Zone at the event.

in June BetBlocker had another high-profile collaboration when Stake, the leading crypto casino and sportsbook, announced it was promoting the responsible gaming software to try and provide a safer environment for its customers.

Additionally, BetBlocker has been recognized in the gaming industry and its tools received the Jim Wuelfing Annual Award for Prevention from the National Council on Problem Gambling.

The BetBlocker project has gained significant momentum over the course of 2024, with recognition from some of the most prestigious and knowledgeable organisations in the sector, and the support of industry event organisers to help raise awareness of the service we provide.
