Altenar Secures a Sportsbook License to Launch in South Africa
Altenar, the sportsbook and iGaming technology supplier, has announced it has been approved for a National Manufacturer license to operate in South Africa, by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB), the region’s gaming regulator.

LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:Under the terms of the new license, Altenar can now partner with gaming operators in the region to provide a comprehensive service ranging from a complete turnkey sportsbook platform to a customized solution. One of the key features of the Altenar portfolio is a highly flexible UI/UX, which allows partners to prioritize sporting events.
Included in the Altenar turnkey sportsbook solution is the Rewards System which allows gaming operators to customize and set up a prize pool feature based on selected sporting events.
In the statement Altenar said gaining the license had demonstrated its commitment to attaining the highest standards in the gaming industry. The certification was stringent and the business showed it had robust procedures regarding compliance checks and Know your customer (KYC) guidelines.
