Allwyn Deal Allows Shoppers to Buy Lottery Scratchcards Online
Allwyn, the United Kingdom (UK) National Lottery operator, has announced a partnership that allows customers to purchase Scratchcards online through retailers on the Snappy Shopper online home delivery platform provider scheme.
Allwyn now selling UK Scratchcards through an online home delivery platform.
This is part of the shake-up the provider promised when it took over the running of the UK National Lottery. The introduction of this partnership follows a successful trial period of the service limited to a small number of stores and will now be expanded throughout the region. Retailers involved in the trial said the Lottery Scratchcards were among their most popular products.
This is part of the ongoing changes that Allwyn stated it would introduce as it tries to sell more tickets and lottery games since it took over the fourth license of the UK National Lottery earlier this year.
We’re delighted that independent National Lottery retailers now have the ability to sell Scratchcards online through the Snappy Shopper platform. We know that this is something our independent retail partners have been asking for – as it offers their customers even greater convenience and provides another way for them to increase their National Lottery sales. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get this service right for both retailers and National Lottery players, to ensure our robust in-store player protection standards are maintained throughout the online ordering and home delivery process.

Eligibility of Retailers
Following the trial period, this partnership is open to retailers on the Snappy Shoppers platform, and stores that wish to be part of that platform are required to fulfill certain criteria.
The stores must be on the Snappy Shoppers scheme and are required to be registered as a National Lottery provider. Allwyn has a set of procedures and guidelines that its stores must follow when selling National Lottery products. This includes only selling games to over-age players and using age ID checks where necessary, as well as training staff to highlight players that may show signs of gambling-related harm.
Allwyn is keen to ensure the retailers that sell its Lottery tickets act in a responsible manner and recently ran a Safer Gambling initiative.
Another stipulation from Allwyn is stores on the platform must use its own staff as drivers when making deliveries, and they should have undergone the appropriate training outlined by Allwyn.
We’re thrilled to partner with Allwyn to bring this innovative Scratchcard delivery service to independent National Lottery retailers. This initiative not only provides a new and convenient way for customers to purchase Scratchcards but also supports local businesses by enhancing their online offerings and driving additional revenue streams.
