Alice Cooper Comes to the Reels in New Play’n GO Slot
Game developers are currently busy releasing slots with scary themes in time for Halloween. Play’n GO is no exception, and the studio has just launched Alice Cooper and the Tome of Madness.
The slot has a strong narrative. It sees Alice exploring a city where he has stopped on tour. He comes across an eerie bookshop in which he finds a curious-looking journal full of blank pages. Alice then uses this journal to start writing his memoir, and with each stroke of the pen, he hears scratching coming from inside the book. As he continues to write, the other pages begin to fill with stories of other Coopers in parallel dimensions. The result is that Cooper must keep his story alive in order to prevent his own death.
The game itself uses a cluster pays mechanic on a 5x5 grid. It is packed with features such as a 1x5 Mega Wild, which is similar to the explosive Gargantoon from the popular game Reactoonz.
On each non-winning spin, one of the Reality Effects may trigger. There are four of them, Insane Asylum, The Dungeon, The Temptation Room, and The Chamber of Horrors. Each offers its own reel modifier that will help to form more wins. There is also a Hat of Madness feature, and if players fill the meter, they can earn extra wilds and trigger free spins with multipliers.
The Play’n GO slot has been designed around Alice Cooper’s aesthetic, and players will enjoy listening to his 1975 hit song Welcome to My Nightmare as they spin the reels.
It was so exciting entering the theatrical – and macabre – world of Alice Cooper. We got to take elements of horror, vaudeville, and garage rock to create these epic worlds that Alice finds himself trapped in. We’re excited to continue expanding our ever-growing IP game portfolio and work with epic artists as they form the basis for great games that players adore.
