This is a free-to-use tool the AGA believes can be used to evaluate responsible gaming messages in the industry. The initiative has been developed by AGA members, including Bally’s, FanDuel, and BetMGM, who funded the scheme and presented a framework that can be used to measure the impact of RG promotions from gaming operators.

The responsible gaming effectiveness scale aims to give gaming companies and industry stakeholders a set of rules and framework that allows these organizations to measure their messages and tailor responsible gaming casino bonuses to perform better with customers.

We are proud to support this independently developed scale, and we want to thank AGA members Bally’s, FanDuel, and BetMGM for providing access to players to help with the creation of the RG-IES.

AGA Reveals Consumer Confidence with RG Measures

As part of the research into the effectiveness of the promotion of responsible gaming, it has been found that customers expressed their satisfaction with gambling companies. The research highlighted that 75% of Americans believe the gaming industry acts in a responsible manner, with a similar percentage supporting regulated sports betting in their home state and 90% of customers who view sports betting as an acceptable form of entertainment.

Additionally, the research indicated that 65% of Americans felt the gaming industry was demonstrating a significant commitment to responsible gambling in the gaming sector. This figure rose to more than 80% of those surveyed and enjoyed wagering in the sports betting and gaming markets.

This acknowledgment follows data from the AGA showing improvement in responsible gaming within the gaming industry.

These latest survey results highlight a consistent trend over the years: as gaming expands to new audiences, Americans increasingly see the benefits of a legal, regulated gaming marketplace that contributes to communities, prioritizes responsibility and provides unmatched entertainment.
