888 Announce Zamboglou to Take Charge of UK and Ireland
888 Holdings has announced that Alexis Zamboglou has been appointed as its new Managing Director for its UK and Irish divisions.
He comes to the job having spent a number of years in important roles at William Hill. Beginning in 2020, Zamboglou held roles including UK Strategy Director, Marketing Director, and dual role as UK Marketing Director and Managing Director for Ireland.
At the same time, William Hill underwent a number of changes. Caesars Entertainment acquired the company and its Mr Green brand in 2021. Then William Hill’s non-US assets were acquired by 888 and integrated into its own portfolio.
Zamboglou Excited by New Opportunities
I am hugely excited to get the opportunity to run the UK and Irish business, with some of the biggest brands on the globe in William Hill, 888, and Mr Green. Really looking forward to working across sports, gaming, and marketing with some of the most talented teams in the industry and building on the success we’ve had so far in 2023.
The announcement of Zamboglou’s new role comes after Phil Walker, the previous Managing Director for UK and Ireland, was promoted to Chief Commercial Officer at 888. A number of other changes have taken place in the top positions in recent days and weeks, such as the departure of Yariv Lavi, 888’s director of business development. Furthermore, at the beginning of July, Shai Tabibian, the SVP head of B2C at 888 Holdings announced his departure from the company after 9 years.
