This comes shortly after Allwyn has taken over the running of the UK National Lottery and has stated it intends to use cutting-edge technology to overhaul the operation of the lottery.

The integrated software system developed by MADIC UK will allow tickets for National Lottery tickets to be printed on an EPOS till and not just through a dedicated standalone National Lottery terminal.

MADIC UK and Allwyn have taken a stand at the upcoming National Convenience and Forecourt Show to be held at the NEC in Birmingham on April 29th. At the trade show, both parties will display a prototype of the National Lottery-integrated EPOS technology.

We’re delighted to be partnering with MADIC UK as we continue to invest in the retail channel and in in-store technology for the future. Offering innovative, alternative ways to buy National Lottery draw games makes them available to more players, whether new or existing, and this helps with our primary aim of raising more money for National Lottery-funded projects – with more people playing a little.

Partnership will Lead to Increased Games in Increased Venues

Allwyn acknowledges this technology provides a huge opportunity to the operator as part of its ten-year license to operate the National Lottery. It will be more convenient for retailers to print tickets from an EPOS system and it is hoped will lead to an increase in the number of retailers who can sell tickets, and therefore increase the potential customer base of players.

The new technology allows for the printing of the main titles on the Allwyn lottery platform, including Lotto, Set For Life, EuroMillions, Thunderball, and HotPicks. Alwyn has a long-term plan to introduce more games to its portfolio and this new technology allows the operator to easily add more titles to its offering, following Allwyn's strong revenue results for 2023.

An integration with The National Lottery and evoPOS has been on our customers’ wish list since we launched the product. Being able to work with Allwyn to offer this solution to all our customers in the future is a huge milestone in our product's evolution.
